A deeply nourishing, skin replenishing oil infused with mugwort, a herb sacred to the moon goddess which has an affinity for relaxing the nervous system and nurturing peaceful dreams.

Active Botanicals:

Mugwort Leaf - Relaxes the nervous system, nurturing peaceful and often prophetic dreams.

Valerian Root - Grows in meadows and woodlands within moist, temperate climates. Promotes healthy relaxation and sleep.

Wild Chamomile - Soothing to the skin, promotes a sense of calm and relaxation.

Lavender - A deeply aromatic, soothing herb. English folklore tells that a mixture of lavender, mugwort, and chamomile will attract sprites, fairies, brownies, and elves.

Frankincense - A rich, resinous scent which promotes feelings of satisfaction, peace, relaxation, and overall wellness.

The Ritual:

Before sleep or meditation, massage a few drops into areas of the body which hold tension and fatigue, especially temples, back of the neck, chest and belly. Use as a specialty potion for relaxation.

Mugwort, Valerian, Chamomile and lavender were steeped for 2 moons in a solar infusion prior to extracting. House-crafted Mugwort extract is also used to amplify the aromatic benefits. Can also be used as a relief oil for menstrual cramps when applied to the abdomen.

History of Mugwort:

Mugwort was considered the 'universal herb for protection and prophecy' throughout the ancient world. Dedicated to the goddesses Artemis and Diana, Mugwort was used for pain and healing, psychic powers and lucid dreaming. In ancient China and Japan, Mugwort was hung in open doorways to exorcise the spirits of disease. The ancient Europeans did the same to ward off evil spirits. In modern herbalism, Mugwort is used to stimulate and ease menstruation, assist digestion and liver function, as a sleep aid and to relax the nervous system.
